On Sep. 13, Kwon Chil-seung, Minister of SMEs and Startups, visited the ‘e-Mobility Regulation Free Special Zone’ located in Yeonggwang-gun. The e-Mobility Special Zone was designated in July 2019 to foster related industries through the development of safety devices of micro electric vehicles, electric bicycles and kick boards and driving demonstration on e-Mobility-only roads. The Officials in the e-mobility special zone plan to conduct safety tests and verifications to ease regulations stipulated by the Road Traffic Act and the Automobile Management Act regarding the driving of micro electric vehicles and electric bicycles.
