Opening Ceremony of Daejeon TIPS Town

On May. 24, Kwon Chil-seung, Minister of SMEs and Startups, attended the opening ceremony of TIPS Town in Daejeon. TIPS Town is a space for incubating start-ups participating in the TIPS* project, and has been operating since 2015 in the Yeoksam-ro area.
*TIPS, Tech Incubator Program for Startup : Select start-ups by utilizing private capabilities such as start-up planners and venture capital, and foster start-ups by linking private investment with government technology development funds. In 2018, the government decided to establish a TIPS Town in Daejeon, which has the largest number of startups participating in TIPS, and promoted the construction of a TIPS Town building in Chungnam National University.
