First Vice Minister Roh Yongseok of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) attended the second Korea-Japan SME Economic Forum on October 14. Organized by the Korea Federation of SMEs and Japan’s National Federation of Small Business Associations, the forum brought together SME representatives to discuss economic and industry trends and explore business partnerships. This year’s event took place in Korea following the first forum in Japan last year. It comes as the two countries expand economic cooperation, with their leaders making regular visits to maintain dialogue. Participants shared insights into their markets and discussed opportunities to work together on technology and business development. The forum’s continuation into a second year is expected to encourage ongoing exchanges and closer relationships between SMEs in both countries. “As cooperation between our governments grows, lasting connections between businesses and people help strengthen Korea-Japan relations,” First Vice Minister Roh said. “I hope this forum will help SMEs in both countries better understand each other’s markets and industries and find new business opportunities.”
