Han Seong-sook, Minister of SMEs and Startups, visited the Gongju Sanseong Market and the Jemincheon Stream commercial district in Chungcheongnam-do on May 18th, and held a "Neighborhood Bookstore Roundtable" at 'An Old Question' (Oraedoen Jilmun), a local bookstore in the area. This visit was organized to hear firsthand feedback from small businesses at the Gongju Sanseong Market and Jemincheon commercial districts, and to discuss the role of neighborhood bookstores in local commercial areas. Minister Han Seong-sook, who presided over the meeting, stated, "Neighborhood bookstores are more than just spaces that sell books; they are spaces where local culture and people come alive," and added, "We will provide continuous support from startup stages to collaboration and commercial district revitalization so that local bookstores can be nurtured into cultural anchors for their communities."
