Han Seong-sook, Minister of SMEs and Startups, held a policy roundtable on fostering robot ventures and startups at Daegu Techno Park. The roundtable brought together a wide range of stakeholders, including robot manufacturers, system integration (SI) companies, physical AI model developers, research institutes, industry–academia–research experts, and teachers and students from national vocational high schools’ robotics departments. Participants engaged in an open discussion on strategies for nurturing ventures and startups in the robotics sector. Minister Han stated, “Robots are a key tool that allows AI to operate in the real world in the era of physical AI. The robotics industry has strong potential to become a new growth engine for Korea, a global manufacturing leader.” She added, “We will provide customized, end-to-end support to help ventures and startups establish themselves as key players in the robotics industry."
