Sejong, October 19 - The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) announced that the Korea SMEs Innovative Show 2023 (K-Innow Show 2023) was held at Busan BEXCO Exhibition Center 1. This event, with the theme of technological and management innovation for small and medium-sized enterprises, is the largest of its kind in the country. It was held over two days from October 17-18. This year's event is significant as it is being relocated from Seoul to Busan to boost the promotion of the 2030 Busan EXPO bid. Additionally, the event is going to be more comprehensive than ever by merging the Innovative Technology Show, which has been held since 2000, and the Management Innovation Festival, which has been held since 2018. The K-Inno Show aims to promote the accomplishments of innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the fields of technology and management. The event's slogan is "Innovative SMEs, Changing the World!" and it will focus on five crucial areas: carbon neutrality and ESG, global expansion, R&D innovation, digital transformation, and technology protection. The K-Inno Show seeks to support SMEs in innovating and adapting to the rapidly changing technology and management landscape. <Overview of the K-Inno Show> ◈ (Purpose) Promote the sharing and spreading of performance by merging the Innovative Technology Show, held since 2000, and the Management Innovation Festival, held since 2018. It also aims to promote the bid for the 2030 Busan EXPO ◈ (Period/Venue) Tuesday, October 17-Wednesday, October 18, 2023 / Busan BEXCO Exhibition Center 1, Hall 2 ◈ (Organizer/Sponsor) Ministry of SMEs and Startups / INNOBIZ, MAINBIZ ◈ (Main Contents) - SME Innovation Merit Award, Technology and Management Conference, IR Pitching Forum. The events aim to share and spread technological and management innovation achievements in five priority areas while providing networking opportunities.(①Carbon neutrality and ESG, ②Global, ③R&D innovation, ④Digital, ⑤Technology protection) The details of the event are as follows. The SME Innovation Merit Award Ceremony, which is the main event, was attended by Minister Lee Young of SMEs and Startups. This ceremony aims to award SMEs and individuals who have made valuable contributions to the growth of the Korean economy through technological and management innovation. A total of 228 awards were presented, comprising of 3 orders of merit, 4 medals of honor, 20 Presidential Commendations, 30 Prime Minister's Commendations, and 171 Minister's Commendations. In addition to the main event, several seminars and conferences were conducted to promote the innovative growth of SMEs. These events comprised a technical and functional talent competition, an IR pitching forum for M&A and win-win investments, and a conference offering tips for scaling up. The Exhibition & Promotion Hall were divided into five sections, each dedicated to one of the five focus areas: Carbon Neutrality and ESG, Global, R&D Innovation, Digital, and Theme Policy. Each section will have dedicated exhibition and promotion booths for every organization to showcase its innovative achievements. The event was online and offline and free for everyone to attend.
